We have seen our son gain confidence. He is more goal-oriented as well. One surprise was his health. He seldom needs to use an inhaler.
As a family we have enjoyed watching our son learn how to speak in front of an audience. We have enjoyed the great people we have met at this school.
As parents we have enjoyed having another opportunity to expose our son to different experiences. We also get a kick to see him take pride in his successes.

I feel like Joseph's participation in Tae Kwon Do has immensely improved his
self confidence. Because he is stronger both mentally and physically, he
has renewed his interest in learning and reading. Before he started martial
arts, he struggled with reading and maintaining his focus, but he is now
able to work through his problems due to the reading grade from a B-(88%) to
an A-(97%)!

"We are so pleased with Tommy's Martial Arts training. He has been a
student since Feb. of '07 and is a green belt. He is more focused,
respectful, and responsible. His teacher at school says he initiates
helping other students both academically and emotionally. It's a great
program that he plans to continue"
Mr. & Mrs. Berry’s Testimony
Student: Angela Berry
My daughter Angela, who was a pre-teen when she first started, has grown in her confidence. She is not nearly as shy as she used to be. She had never liked getting up in front of people but with many opportunities to exhibit her skills, she is more confront able in herself. She has become a student representative in an advisory committee that requires her to speak out her opinions amongst administrators, teachers, and the curriculum coordinator for the gifted and talented Broad-Based Advisory Committee of MSD Wayne Township. Group settings are not overwhelming anymore to her.
Mr. & Mrs. Moreland’s Testimony
Student: Harrison Moreland
First of all, all the instructors are very helpful and willing to work with the students. My son had an attitude problem, but since attending the school it has improved greatly. He has also learned to listen better and his coordinator has improved. He enjoys coming to class each week. Everyone at the school is very friendly.

As members of the OMAA Family I can honestly say that my entire family has grown in so many area's as a direct result of our training!
- Joshua (13yrs-recommended Black Belt) has developed tremendous confidence, focus, strength and resolve. As a family we have seen a complete turn around in Joshua's grades and he continually maintains honor roll. Also Josh as a leader, his active role in caring and looking after his siblings. I am extremely proud of his continued success!
- Zachary (9yrs-recommended Black Belt) has truly embraced the way of life that Martial Arts offers. His physical ability has surpassed our entire family in his level of flexibility, Power, Speed, Balance and natural talent. Zach is a living example that age has no relevance in the true Martial Artist. We consider Zachary as the protector of Leah! In addition Zachary's leadership skills have blossomed and he joyfully works with the junior belts in learning there requirements. Zach maintains high honor roll consistently for the past 3 years.
- Leah (4yrs-Yellow Belt) is a shinning star for the OMAA family, her enthusiasm and zeal for learning brings joy to our family and provides the staying power needed for maintaining 100% maximum level of training.
Lastly Sharon (recommended Black Belt, Assistant Instructor) and I have witnessed our family grow in unity, connectedness, and strength. I decided over 3 years ago that we would train together and motivate one another. I can honestly say that training under Master Tran & Mr. Bigbee has been by far one of the most fulfilling/gratifying experiences we have ever had as an entire family.
Our marriage has grown as a result of training together, our focus on Family, Faith and Love has become paramount! Through the Mountain top experiences and even valley low's the ability for a consistent family activity has allowed us to become better parents, better community members, but most of all best friends. I highly recommend families train together! OMAA offers the best level of training, but more than that we are a family!

My son is very timid about being involved in sports program once it began Tae Kwon Do his excitement toward physical activities has increased dramatically. He is getting in shape physically and mentally for the first time in his life. He is beginning to set high

"Our son has been training with Master Instructor Bruce Tran since Feburary of 2006. His confidence has excelled past our dreams. Our son started the Academy when he was 3 years old. He has went from being shy and criing to a confident and outgoing 4 year old Red Belt. He is only 4, but with excellent training he has gained confidence and does not cry anymore. Our son has changed so much thanks to Master Bruce Tran and all of the wonderful Instructors of the Academy!!! Best decision we could of made for our sons focus, decipline, confidence, and self esteem was Oriental Martial Arts Academy!"
